A stranger asks David to help find a puppy in the trees. David knows exactly what to do — and so will you.
Page 1 — A Stranger at the Park
David was playing near the swings at the park. A man he had never seen before walked up to him and said: "Excuse me, little boy. My puppy got lost in those trees over there. Can you come and help me look?"
David says: "No! thank you"
Page 2 — David Runs to Mum
David shook his head. "No thank you," he said in a firm voice. Then he turned and ran as fast as he could back to his mum on the bench nearby.
David says: "Mum! A man I don't know asked me to go with him into the trees!"
Page 3 — Telling a Trusted Adult
Mum listened to every single word David said. She gave David a hug, then called over a park warden to let them know what had happened.
Page 4 — Well Done, David
Mum held David tight. David felt safe, proud, and strong. He had done everything exactly right.
Mum says: "I am so proud of you for coming to me straight away. You were incredibly brave."
