Data Deletion Request
Your Right to Have Your Data Deleted
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data. This right is recognised under the GDPR (Article 17 — Right to Erasure), COPPA, the CCPA/CPRA, and Brazil's LGPD. Play and Learn with David is committed to honouring these rights promptly and transparently.
What Gets Deleted
When a full account deletion is processed, the following data is deleted:
- Parent account email address and hashed password.
- All child profiles, including names, ages, and avatar images.
- All learning progress: lesson completions, game scores, and login streaks.
- All badges and points balances.
- All chat history: friend messages and group chat messages.
- All printout redemption records.
- All friend connections.
What Is Retained
Payment transaction records (purchase amounts, dates, and processor references) may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with financial record-keeping and tax legislation. After account deletion, these records are not linked to any identifiable personal data — they are anonymised and cannot be used to identify you.
Self-Service Options
You do not need to contact us to delete individual child profiles. From your Account Settings page you can:
- Delete a child profile: removes all data for that child immediately.
- Delete your parent account: anonymises all personal data immediately; full deletion is completed within 30 days. This is irreversible — all child profiles, progress, and points are permanently removed.

COPPA — Parent Rights

This can be done through Account Settings or by submitting a request using the process above. We will not require the parent to provide more information than is necessary to locate and verify the account.
