California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

Applicability

This section applies to California residents and supplements our Privacy Policy. It describes your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

Categories of Personal Information We Collect

In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information:

• Identifiers: parent email address, session identifiers, IP address.
• Usage data: learning progress, game scores, badges earned, points balance, chat messages, login timestamps.
• Child profile information: child nickname, age, avatar, language preferences.
• Payment transaction data: purchase amount, date, and processor reference (no card numbers stored).

We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA (e.g., social security numbers, precise geolocation, biometric data, health data).

We Do Not Sell Personal Information

We do not sell personal information to third parties — ever. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. Your data is used solely to provide the educational platform service.

Your CCPA Rights

Right to Know

You have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, our business purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.

Right to Delete

You have the right to request deletion of personal information we have collected. We will honour deletion requests subject to certain legal exceptions (e.g., retaining financial records for legal compliance). See our Data Deletion page.

Right to Correct

You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.

Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing

This right is not applicable — we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Right to Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. We will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a lesser quality of service.

How to Submit a Request

To exercise any of the rights described above:

1. Use our Contact form and select the Privacy & Safety department.
2. Clearly state the right you are exercising (e.g., "Right to Know", "Right to Delete").
3. Include your registered email address so we can verify your identity.

Response Time

We will respond to a verifiable consumer request within 45 days of receipt. If we need more time, we will inform you in writing and may extend the response period by an additional 45 days (90 days total).

Authorised Agent

You may designate an authorised agent to submit a request on your behalf. The agent must provide written authorisation signed by you, and we may contact you directly to verify the request.
